Dr Victor Hugo Gonzalez Sanchez is a Research Associate in the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Bath, where his work contributes to the EPSRC Supergen Energy Networks Hub. He holds a PhD and an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (Mexico).

Before joining the University of Bath, Víctor worked at the Mexico’s national electric utility, where he carried out transmission expansion planning and interconnection studies for new generation and demand projects.

His research interests include power system resilience, transmission network planning, renewable energy integration, electromagnetic transients, protection systems, and fault location in transmission lines.
